Let's Make a Better Future for the Kids
ROAR was awarded a First Five Humboldt grant to fund weekly playgroups for Alderpoint area babies, toddlers, and preschoolers.
The State Coastal Conservancy approved ROAR’s grant titled "Protect the Sacred: Phase One Planning, Great Redwood Trail, Alderpoint" for sacred site/cultural plant protection and trash clean up.
ROAR brings resources to Alderpoint by applying for grants to help our community.

Humboldt and Mendo friends, please join us at the Mateel on Friday, 11/21 or a FREE catered dinner and live acoustic music by Goodsheild while we spend a beautiful evening learning about how to write plus actually writing public comments to help Undam the Eel! Its a critical time right now where comments to FERC can make a huge impact. ROAR will have a fun little kid zone (coloring contest with Jackie Fawn activist art where every kid wins a prize; natural playdough!) so that all the parents can relax, eat, participate, and get their public comment juices flowing! Event sponsored by Save California Salmon!
